Apprenticeships

Salford City College is delighted to now offer Apprenticeships. If you are leaving school this summer, or have already left school and are looking for training whilst working, this could be the next step for you.

We are looking for students who are committed, hard working and are expecting to achieve or already have 5 A-C GCSE grades including Maths and English.

The Apprenticeships are delivered through ‘Trinity’, Salford City Colleges Training Business Unit. They offer foundation level 2 Apprenticeships and advanced level 3 Apprenticeships.

Since the Apprenticeship programme went live in January 2010 the programme has gone from strength to strength and we are continually evaluating the programme to ensure that it meets the needs of our apprentices as well responding to changing employer needs and guidelines from Sector Skills Councils.

Salford City College has provided Jobs for 10 Apprentices across its centres demonstrating a commitment to the programme and leading the way for employers in the Salford area to support young people in developing skills and experience required to prepare businesses for the future.

One of the first employers to support the programme and provide employment for one of our Apprentices is Burton Copeland Solicitors in the city centre.

If you are already in work and want to develop your skills we can also provide Apprenticeship programmes for young people who have already secured employment and would like to gain a nationally recognised qualification in their chosen career.
