Welcome to City Campus Skills Centre
The City Campus Skills Centre of Salford City College has continued to go from strength to strength since the college merger in
2009. Every year our results have continued to be outstanding at all levels. This is a credit to the hard work and fortitude of all of our
students and the passion and enthusiasm of their teachers.
As well as producing fantastic results and providing great opportunities, our students enjoy the benefits of numerous competitions
and partnerships. The City Campus Skills Centre hosted the NorthWest regional heat of SkillBuild in 2010 and 2011. It is the largest
construction skills competition in the UK and was attended by colleges from across the region. In 2010 the college entered nine of its
own students to the competition, with two of them winning first prizes in their areas and a further two students winning second places.
In 2011 a further three students were awarded third place in their categories. Our students have also competed in a number of other
competitions such as the Bramall Construction Bricklaying Competition.
In addition, the college has undertaken a shared apprenticeship initiative in partnership with local construction company B4Box
and Salford City Council.
These kinds of partnerships and competitions provide us with additional means to extend the education of our students and build
on their success. Come along to one of our open events to find out how we can help you begin your future career in the
construction and trade industry.
