In 2009 we once again achieved excellent results and maintained our position as one of the best colleges in the country. Students have excelled in all areas of study, arming themselves with the qualifications and skills they need to progress on to university, employment or further training.

Beacon status

Our success follows on from being awarded the prestigious Beacon status by the Learning and Skills Council. This is the highest honour that any college can achieve, highlighting excellence and innovation and celebrating exceptional teaching and learning at the college. After rigorous inspection, Ofsted praised the college in a series of "outstanding" areas. Being awarded Beacon status allows us to continue in the same trend, raising aspirations and creating opportunities for students in a "top performing" college.
