Salford City College is able to boast a wide and varied range of A-Level and vocational courses, as well as apprenticeships.

A-Levels are designed to prepare students for university. Students generally select four subjects to study at AS-Level in their first year and then continue on with three of these subjects at A2-Level in their second year.

If you are looking for a more work-related course, a vocational BTEC or NVQ may be more suited to your needs. You can work on your own or as part of a team to complete assessments and projects. Vocational courses operate on a continuous assessment basis. This type of course is generally available at three levels – advanced, intermediate and foundation.

Many students study an NVQ as an apprentice. Apprentices gain practical experience in their chosen field and are able to earn money whilst they learn. Apprenticeships are available in customer service, business administration, construction, event marketing, IT, estates and many other areas.
