Students Hypnotised by College's Relaxation Techniques

Students at Eccles, Walkden and Pendleton Sixth Form Centres were treated to one of the UK’s most creative and original Hypnosis Shows when Ian Dee, Comedy Hypnotherapist, visited on 10th and 11th January 2012.

In an attempt to help students relax before the onset of the busy January exam period, volunteers were hypnotised into various states of mid-consciousness and so encouraging them to act in peculiar ways, such as falling asleep, feeling drastic changes in body temperature and also being convinced they were covered in insects - all with hilarious connotations for the benefit of their observing peers.

Thalia Bell-Taylor, Assistant Principal of Learner Services, was thrilled with the Students’ reactions; “This is a busy period for the Students with the January exams getting nearer and so we thought it was important to include some relaxation time within their revision timetables. I’m thrilled with the enthusiastic responses we have received from the Students who attended and was most impressed with the content of Ian’s show; let’s hope this has a positive impact upon the impending examinations and is also reflected in the results!”
