Students celebrate fantastic A-Level results for 2012
Students at Salford City College’s Eccles and Pendleton Sixth Form Centres have yet again achieved outstanding A-Level results. Students have gained an impressive overall A-Level pass rate of 99% with a record pass rate of high grades.
Vocational course results at the college’s Eccles, Pendleton and Walkden Sixth Form Centres and City Campus Skills Centre, are also being celebrated as every advanced vocational subject gained a 100% pass rate.
This is another impressive result for the college and adds to the long history of success that is achieved and which the college has built its reputation on. These outstanding results are down to the hard work and determination of our students accompanied by teaching of the highest standards and is an excellent achievement for the students.
Martin Sim, Salford City College Principal and Chief Executive, proudly stated: "I am delighted with our students’ achievements; the results are thoroughly deserved. In addition, the continued commitment and dedicated support of our staff should not be overlooked.
I would like to congratulate all of our students and wish them well in their next step, whether that is to university, further training or employment. We are delighted to offer for the first year HNC provision and a Level 3+ course at the college which will enable more students to have the opportunity to progress with their education in the same high quality environment”.
We look forward to welcoming our new students to the college in the next couple of weeks and working with them to ensure that they reach their full potential and future ambitions.
